The Wu-Tang Clan covers The Beatles, new album coming out December 11th

The Wu-Tang Clan got the help of George Harrison’s son, Dhani, to play his father’s "While My Guitar Gently Weeps". The single "The Heart Gently Weeps" is basically a rap cover of The Beatles’ song.
The single features Erykah Badu as well as John Frusciante from the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
The title is to appear on their next album, "The 8th Diagram", their first release since the untimely passing of member Ol’ Dirty Bastard, which is scheduled to hit store shelves december 11th.

While a certain buzz emerges from every Wu-Tang Clan release, this album is actually in the center of some controversy. It seems that the utmost majority of Wu-Tang Clan members, mainly Raekwon & Ghostface, are not happy with the musical direction producer The RZA has taken the album to. As seen in the aforementioned single, The RZA incorporated lots of electric guitar within the songs and the members do not agree on the avenue he took. The problem is that the album is completed and will likely hit shelves in this format.

We’ll have to wait and see the reaction to the loyal Wu-Tang fans as whether RZA’s decision was good or wait for a side project rumoured by the other Wu-Tang members, that is, excluding RZA.
