Fader offered as downloadable pdf
The Fader launched yesterday the quarterly, digital-only F2 series.
Available as a free download on iTunes and at thefader.com, F2 is a "music-driven digital publication that re-imagines seminal music genres via their contemporary manifestations–taking musical movements like folk, blues and classic rock and finding the contemporary artists who represent today’s version of classic bands and movements."
Each F2 supplement will focus on one genre and five of the emerging artists who serve as the genre’s modern day emissaries. The first in the series is titled "The New Disco."
Timberland has also helped in the creation of the F2:
"F2 gives us a great opportunity to provide readers with in-depth features on emerging talent within each new genre," says Melanie Samarasinghe, director of advertising and business development for The FADER. "Timberland’s support was crucial–enabling us to take a concept and turn it into a reality."
"Timberland is excited to power the new F2 digital magazine, which will expose the world to a wide range of cutting-edge music and musicians," remarked Edward Harris, Marketing Manager for Timberland. "As a brand which has always done our best to present the world with new ideas - from innovative boot design to using renewable and recycled materials in our footwear - we feel that the partnership is a great fit."
