Common speculates on next album: release planned in November

It is unsure if the album will be ready by November but this means good news for Common fans! In an interview with MTV.com, Common aluded to his next album being ready for November. Apparently, he is already in studio for "The Believer". His last record, "Finding Forever" had somewhat of a commercial success and might have pushed him to hit the boards right away.

In other talks, Common did address the issue of his collaboration album with Q-Tip, The Standard. He envisions the gathering of those two powerful rap minds like old jazz musicians collaborating, better explained by himself: "We been conceptualizing, but we just gotta continue to work on it. We will. I look at it like two jazz musicians getting together, the way Charlie Parker and cats would get together and do work. I feel a lot more free with my music now that I’m doing films and stuff, because I don’t put as much pressure on the music. It ain’t my only source of income and way to make a living"

So a new album and a collaboration album in between movie sets. 2008 looks up to be a busy year for Common
