Auction to benefit Ella Thompson Fund
HBO police drama series The Wire and The Fader are teaming up for a charity eBay.com auction.
There are five custom designed hoodies curated by Jeff Staple of Reed Space/Jeff Staple Design group. There is a different design/artist for each of the 5 seasons of The Wire. Each season’s hoodie is also ’signed and championed by’ a different celeb. The hoodies are available for viewing at the HBO store on 42nd and 6th Avenue in Manhattan as well.
In addition to the 5 hoodies, buyers will get a copy of the soundtrack, a poster, and all 4 seasons on DVD, each signed by the members of the cast.
Following the seasons’ order, Qtip, MIMS, Wyclef Jean, Lupe Fiasco and Jamie Hector are the celebrities that have signed the hoodies.
All proceeds donated to The Ella Thompson Fund and The Baltimore Museum of Industry. The mission of the Baltimore Museum of Industry is to collect, preserve, and interpret the industrial and technological heritage of the Baltimore region for the public, by presenting educational programs and exhibits that explore the stories of Maryland’s industries and the people who created and worked in them.
