9th Wonder parts ways with Little Brother

One of the most acclaimed new groups of the past 5 years, Little Brother came to the decision of a restructure of the group members. Originally consisting of MCs Phonte & Big Pooh and producer 9th Wonder, the group came to the decision that 9th Wonder was to pursue his career on the solo act. The main reasons behind this decision is not a personnal conflict between group members or any of the sort. Little Brother’s success led Phonte to go work on side projects (notably The Foreign Exchange with producer Nicolay) and the group to reach new collaborations with other producers. This situation pushed 9th from being the exclusive group producer to having no more than 2 or 3 beats on their next album “Get Back”. The situation was taken so that both MCs & 9th Wonder continue forward to put out new stuff on the market. It’s likely to see 9th Wonder around Pooh & Phonte as a member of the extensive collective the Justus League. Little Brother also ended terms with their label Atlantic records invoking insatisfaction with the artistic direction and pressure directed toward them.A new Little Brother mixtape “And Justus For All” should be released on the web for free next week.
