I’ve been slacking off my own column for the past 3 weeks, go figure! I’ll make your wait worth it by giving you one two three free mixtapes today!

First off is Brooklyn MC/Graphic designer Fresh Daily. Tired of all the Auto-Tune utter crap polluting the air waves, Fresh Daily brings it back to clever word play and inventive delivery, what an MC should be doing anyways. The Tomorrow is Today mixtape comes as an introduction to Fresh Daily and in waiting for his next official release The Gorgeous Killer in Crimes of Passion that will feature production by the likes of Illmind, DJ Spinna, Oh No & Exile. Up next is a collective mixtape, which is not the most common thing to see several artists coming along to put up a mixtape. The Fake Shore Drive mixtape features a load of artists out of Chicago. Hosted by The Cool Kids, the mixtape includes new songs by GLC, The Cool Kids, Twista, Naledge of Kidz in the Hall, Lupe Fiasco, Rhymefest & J. Ivy. It also includes production by heavyweights Kanye West & No I.D.
